Nnimmo Bassey on "Green Economy"

Nnimmo Bassey (Nigeria) will guide you through the seductive ‘green economy’ and explain how the way it is currently promoted by UN agencies such as UNEP is rather giving a cover to continue on a business as usual scenario. In this second episode he will deal with reparations of ecological debt, carbon trading and a declaration by African leaders in Botswana that supports the false green economy. “They might be surprised that one day they have the money from a green fund but find Africa without Africans.”

Nnimmo Bassey is a partner in EJOLT, the elected chair of Friends of the Earth International, a 2009 Time Hero of the environment and a 2010 Right Livelihood Award winner (aka the alternative Nobel Price).
